Lunch at Crystal Palace?

DH and I will be going in late November with my DS, almost 5, and hopefully my niece who will be 6. DS has declared he wants to have "breakfast with Mickey and Minnie" so we are doing CM on a non-park day. (I'm calling on June 1!) I, however, want to eat with Pooh and Tigger. So how is the lunch at Crystal Palace? I've heard good things about the breakfast and dinner.

Also if we hit the park at rope drop, would it be a better idea to book the first lunch sitting or the late one?

Thanks for any input.

We love doing the latest lunch at CP. We usually eat about 2:40 or so. At 3PM they change the food from lunch to dinner, so you get two for the price of one. Just make sure you get some of the lunch desserts before they remove them for the dinner desserts.

Ate twice there last two years and have two more ADRs for 1130 lunch this year in Sept.

I ate there last July for lunch, and it was one of my favorite meals of all time! I thought the food was excellent! I think you will enjoy any meal there, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Have fun!

WE've done lunch at CP twice and loved it both times, it's a great place to get into the shade and escape MK for a while and the food is great. In fact we're doing Breakfast, lunch and dinner there over our 3 week trip in November! :)

We did CP for lunch at 11:30am, the first seating. We got picked to be family of the day! We got to dance with Pooh and had a special table that was decorated. The food was wonderful. I say go and book an adr for 11:30! You might get to be family of the day!;)

This is exactly what happened to us! It was so great! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, this was for me by far the worst food of the trip, and I was really bothered by all of the flies in the restaurant...

Im so glad Im not the only one who thought so. It seems everyone loves CP, but it was by far the worst food I had on property, and really dirty too. On top of the fact that we had to wait outside for almost an hour in July to be seated for our 11:30 ADR.

We've only had good experiences at CP for lunch and we go at least once during each trip. The food has always been very tasty with a variety of items to choose from. I've never noticed any area there looking dirty and never had to wait more than 20 minutes past my ADR time (usually 10 minutes or less) but we don't go during really busy times of the year. I guess that could make a difference.....

In March (Spring Break), we had 11:30 ADR for CP. We hopped into the check-in line at about 11:10 or so. I noticed that the line and the waiting seemed to be greatly increasing in a very short time. We had had good timing, let's say and didn't wait more than 5 minutes after making it through the check in line. Truthfully, it was a bit difficult to get through the crowd crowding the doorway so that we could be seated.

The restaurant is beautiful. It was clean for our visit, but I admit, I didn't use the restroom. I thought about it on the way out, but, wow, what a line! The glass dome is lovely. The greenery is nice. It's light and bright and very cheerful inside. We were seated on the right side as you walk into the restaurant. That side was virtually empty. We had a great time with Tigger while no one was around. Piglet, Pooh, and Eeyore made the rounds. We didn't feel rushed, although we were efficient and ready. And we got to see Tigger again!

I thought the food was very good. I enjoyed the variety of salads offered. I thought the dessert selection was tasty. It was altogether a thoroughly enjoyable meal for my family.

We had attended am EMH on the morning we went to CP. We ate a simple room based grab and go breakfast. We were ready for food and a break when lunch time rolled around. This worked very well for our family.

CP is a must do every time we go. Mostly we've done lunch and dinner but we did breakfast once there last year. It was nice to get into the park before opening, but I prefer the food at lunch and dinner. We have another ADR in Sept.:thumbsup2

We have gone to CP for lunch twice and have a lunch ADR for our upcoming trip in June. We love it and have always booked an 11:30 am seating. Yes, you must get there before 11:15 for checkin or you will be waiting in a long line just to check in.

The food was great. I especially liked the jasmine rice and salmon. Mmm..mmm. The kids loved the character interaction. It is a wonderful place for a lunch in the Magic Kingdom.

I know I want to CP, but not sure if to do lunch or dinner yet. Any thoughts about which one? We will be using DDP so that price is not an issue.

Get the late lunch (around 2:30 or 2:45) and you can enjoy both.
