Our lunch reservation at Ariel's Grotto is for 4:40pm.

Do you still get the regular amount of time with the Princesses for that late of lunch ?
Any draw backs for dining that late and so close to the dinner transition ?

If you don't get answers, you may want to call Disneyland Reservations and ask directly. I'd say it's possible you may not get full experience.

uh, oh ...... that would not be good with 2 Granddaughters just getting their hair done at Anna & Elsa's and coming to see the Princesses if a full experiance is not given. Thank you for the suggestion.

The dinner service starts at 5:30 typically, so by then the princesses would be gone.

We went at 4:30 last April and still got everyone. I'm pretty confident they wouldn't book a time and then have less than four princesses...

It always takes us about 15 minutes to
check in and then there's a decent wait to meet Ariel, just FYI... It'll be awhile until you're actually eating.

Terrific!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Looking forward to the fun !

Just FYI on Ariel's. Its been 4 years since we went so its possible its different now but we did lunch there as well after DD did the BBB makeover to look like Cinderella. We got the full number of princesses but all they do is go in a certain order to all the guests at each table and are only there just long enough to take a pic and sign and autograph and then onto the next person. You might get a little bit of conversation but not much with each one. DD still loved it as she was 3 going on 4 at the time but I felt it was rushed and very impersonal. It was far different from the character interactions we had at Minnie's breakfast at the plaza inn. There each character came by several times and spent a lot of time interacting with all of us.

Ariels is not a bad experience but it wasn't what I was expecting so I wanted you to be aware in case you are expecting a lot of interactions and such.

Yes, I agree with you as past interaction with the Princesses. But I appreciate you making sure that I knew about it being somewhat hurried. We ate at Minnie's Plaza with family in August. Love, love, love all the interaction and fun at Minnie's. My GDD's haven't eaten at Ariel's for 5 years and they asked to eat there this time. Thanks again for your input.

You meet Ariel and take photos with her before you sit down. While you're dining, the Princesses come out one at a time, after a short introduction. While one Princess is visiting tables, the next Princess arrives and starts to visit. You will see all the Princesses who are visiting the grotto that day.
