Where would you recommend eating if we go on an early entry day? We'd be okay eating lunch early, prefer something that's inside/sit down. Me,hubby & the two princesses. TIA

There is no table service restaurant inside AK, there is Rainforest Cafe located just outside the gate, and there is a "back exit/entrance" from inside AK, but you will need a handstamp and ticket to re-enter the park.

Inside the park, our favorite place to eat is Tusker House. It is counter service, but they have a large enclosed and air conditioned seating area. I think there is a pizza place that also has some enclosed seating. There is a McD's with enclosed seating near the Dinoland area.

flame tree bbq is pretty good but has outdoor seating... However the seating areas are covered and have a lot of fans so it's not really that hot.

For inside, I always favor Pizzafari and their hot deli sandwich. Also, on a hot day, that's a great place for a frozen lemonade stop!

A second vote for Tusker House here! It is counter service, but not "typical" counter service. They have veggies and wraps, rotisserie chicken, etc. instead of the usual burgers and chicken fingers. We eat there every time we visit AK (which, honestly isn't that often since it's our least favorite park.)

Tusker House is great, but if your kids like pizza, you can't get it there. Pizzafari is good and the rooms are all very colorful and themed. We happened to eat lunch there late one day and the only room with tables left was the room with the colorful snails on the wall. I don't particularly find snails, colorful or not, appetizing but if you get there earlier you can probably sit in one of the cuter rooms.

We love Rainforest cafe. It's our tradition to break for an 11:30 meal here. Eventually we'll have to try some other places at Ak. We did have a pizza and a salad at Pizzafari. Not bad. We still prefer RFC.

It's a tradition for us to eat by the water at Flame Tree Barbecue. We love the ribs and the chicken. We buy the meal deal and grab a powerade and mickey bar on the way out of the park.

We haven't tried Tusker House yet. We had Flame Tree several years back. As someone else posted, AK is our least favorite park also. DH has had bad experiences both times we've went. I am on hold right now with CR to see about coming in on Tuesday instead of Wednesday next week. We change resorts and attend the HP on Friday, so that day I think we need to take it easy. If we have a whole day on Wednesday we might be able to squeeze in some more park time and not use any more ticket than if we made a quick trip to a park on Friday morning. Think I'll try either RFC or one of the others. Does RFC accept PS' for that location? Thanks again,

I liked the friend chicken sandwich from Tusker's Flame Tree wasn't bad - I am just a big fan of the dry rub bbq. Had pizza and salad at the Pizza place and thought it was good.

Just not a big fan of Rain Forest Cafe

tusker house rotissere chicken for lunch - one of the best meals I had all week - seriously!

This is my favorite place to dine. The food is great!! There is seating inside and out.
