We will be at the GF around lunchtime and have AP's. Where would you eat lunch if you could eat anywhere near it, including MK?

The Grand Floridian Cafe is very good or you could hop on the monorail and ride to the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. You could also take the walkway from the GF to the Polynesian to get there. Both are good choices, but I prefer the GFC for lunch, Kona for breakfast.

Kona! The lunch we had there this past Nov was to die for and it was super quiet there, just 4 tables including ours! Loved the food and the service.

That is our order of preference, too.

The Wave at the CR is very good, too, but has no windows so it is not as charming as GF Cafe.

All three monorail restaurants are very good for lunch.

Grand Floridian Cafe is very nice. Last May we left the MK and had a nice lunch there. Everyone liked their food. I got this burger that had lobster on it that was so good. The restaurant is bright and pretty and the service was excellent. A perfect place for lunch.

I have only ever eaten dinner or breakfast at Kona-both very good. I'm sure their lunch is pretty good also.

The Wave's menu does not appeal to me all that much. When it was Concourse Steakhouse we always used to eat lunch there on one of our Mk days-loved it. Maybe we'll try it sometime.

Grand floridan cafe is very good for lunch. We've eaten at kona cafe too but only for dinner but I recommend that too.

Kona Cafe or The Wave are my recommendations. However, Grand Floridian Cafe may be a bit lighter and what your party is looking for. Enjoy your trip!

Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona Cafe are both wonderful. Lunch may be the best meal at these restaurants, because they are often quiet and intimate.

I would totally go with Kona. The Polynesian Plate Lunch is one of my fav things to eat at WDW. Last time I had the Teriyaki Steak w/sticky rice and macaroni salad. Let me tell you that macaroni salad was to die for. Nice and creamy with a kick of heat. Awesome!!
