Heya guys!

So... we're off in five days!

Last trip, we managed to spend over £200 on lunch and snacks alone, over five days. I literally have no idea how... except that we bought counter service meals every day.

There's three of us this time, rather than two and obviously, I'd much rather spend £200+ on fun things in Disney :teeth:

Does anyone have any tips for cutting costs? What do you guys usually do for lunch?

Never used to have lunch until Earl of Sandwich opened. Just used to have plenty at breakfast then have earlyish dinner usually a buffet.

Im lucky to be a shareholder so also pop in mid morning for drink and pastry. Counter service is quite expensive so I only have that occasionally.

Take your own drinks into the parks as this will save a fair bit of money also if you can pack them take some cereal bars that you can take in to have as a snack during the day

We're the same and usually get by on two meals a day at DLP - breakfast and a table service/buffet meal, either a late lunch or an early dinner. I think the counter service meals aren't such good value so try to avoid them for this reason however love Earl of Sandwich :thumbsup2 which is a big serving so could be shared.

The Relay shop at the train station always used to sell filled rolls for a fraction of what you'll pay for a counter service meal, and bottled water and drinks from there are much cheaper than in the parks. Or if you want a counter service meal for lunch then buy children's ones, these are a bit cheaper.

Agree with above, we eat well at breakfast, usually have a buffet dinner and bring drinks and seed bars with us as well as lots of fruit. DS cannot go without lunch though so we buy the salads at Starbucks for him which he enjoys and I might have a wrap from there. These are reasonably priced and Starbucks gives a 10% shareholders or AP discount.

I find the counter service meals to be fairly generous so maybe you could share two between three of you? The children's meal are also enough for me so I sometimes get one of these if I'm trying to cut costs. I'll give another vote for Earl of Sandwich too - lovely sandwiches at a reasonable price.

Thank you lovelies! Only a few days to go now... Getting excited!

Thank you for the tips - We'll stock up on cereal bars, crisps and snacky bits before we travel over. Does anyone know off the top of their head how much roughly Earl of Sandwich is?
