We have an early flight out from home, which means no time for breakfast. We are due into MCO at 10 am.We are staying at the Poly, and was wondering, what a resonable time to get a lunch ADR for Kona would be? Does check in take very long? I might add that we are arriving during Christmas week. 12/20 to be exact. I remember check in taking about 30 minutes in 2000 at CBR. Not sure if we should get a lunch ressie, or just hit Capt. Cooks.

I'd pick the CS place. You may feel rushed, and rumpled from the flight (not to mention starving!), and want to just grab something quick. Maybe even take it back to your room as you're getting settled.

That said, definately make ADR for Kona for dinner, tho. One of my favorite places to have a relaxed meal.

When we stayed at the Poly in Feb., our flight arrived at MCO just before noon. We used ME and got checked into the hotel and were off the monorail on MK at 2:00. If you wanted to make a later ADR, I think you would be OK. However, if you didn't want to stress about, you could make an early dinner ressie instead. That would give you extra time in case of any delays...

Last summer our flight arrived around 10am and we were at the resort by 11am. Everything went smoothly and I could have easily managed an earlier ADR, but I had one for 3pm at the Garden Grill at Epcot. We had a snack and then toured Epcot until 2:30pm - we were able to be seated a little early.

If you are going to do an ADR allow enough time in case there are delays. I would think Christmas week might be rather busy.

If we were in your situation - we would get checked in and put your luggage in hock. Your room most likely will not be ready (and you are super lucky if it is:thumbsup2 ).

After you get checked in - either grab counter service at Poly, or hop the monorail to the Grand Floridian and eat counter service at Gasparillas Grill. You could then head back to the hotel if your room is ready - or go straight to a park.

Then, book an early dinner for the table service of your choice - and enjoy! :thumbsup2

I think you will feel good with a CS lunch - so you do not have to rush around.
