What do you all do with lumpy memorabilia from WDW? We just returned and I have buttons and all kinds of things that would make a page stand out too much.

Please help!

What kind of buttons? For the Birthday pins you can get in the parks, I used wire cutters to cut the pin backs off and just mounted the front piece with glue dots. I don't find it to be overly bulky. For other bulky items you could just scan the item and use the picture rather than the actual item. But I have put really bulky things in my books. The real reason I scrap is to have a place to keep all that "stuff"..... so my books include things like hospital bracelets, a tiny preemie diaper, a onesie, paper plates, etc. Good luck......P

i find that it makes it easier to put the layout in my album if i trim a fraction of an inch off both sides if i am know i am going to be putting a "lumpy" item on my page. It is easier to do this before you start.

:lmao: LOL I clicked on this thread because my daughter is a fan of Lumpy. I got excited thinking that there was new Lumpy memorabilia at WDW. We're doing the Crystal Palace, so I was actually hoping that he might be there with the others from the Hundred Acre Wood. Here I was expecting scrapbook ideas for Lumpy pages!:lmao:

I second this! I'm a big fan of "lumpy" pages in my own right, but at least trimming them allows me to JAM them into my page protectors. :rolleyes1

I've never seen a Lumpy character wandering around - we did CP in 2005 and he wasn't there then - but I bet you can buy plenty of stuff with his pic on!

there's a woman on UK ebay that sells die cut elephants that look just like Lumpy (but she can't call them that!)

As for lumpy pages, mentioned on QVC the other day (common sense really, but I hadn't thought of it!!) but don't put all your lumpy things on the same area on different pages, try to move them around a bit (left, right, up, down...) so the album is a little move even. Does that make sense? Not sure it does when I read it back!

I do color scans of the item and print the memorabilia out on card stock in color. Depending on what it is, you can also glue it to chipboard to make it stand out a bit. Works great for me and leaves my pages a bit lighter, too.

I do this too. Then if I want to continue to save the actual memorabilia, I store it in a box with other things we are saving.

Thanks for the ideas! I hadn't thought about taking the pin off buttons. I'll try that and then scan the rest.

Has anyone used the photo frames that come with packages (like at Cinderella's Royal Table) in their album? We went to a bunch of character breakfasts and of course, were complete tourists and bought the packages every time!

I used the Hoop de doo one. It was my intro page of sorts and was quite big. Just had room for that and journalling on the page.

After looking at the one on ebay, I made a cute one with the elephant from ZooBalloo. I experimented with different purples (and pinks for the ears) and came up with what I think is a pretty cute one. I added the little black lines and some yarn on the top. (I believe I've read in your posts that you have that cart too, right?)

DD2 is getting a Lumpy on our trip because I found it for $1.99 at the Disney Store (with a 15% off coupon no less). Anyway, I thought it might make a cute layout with my ZooBalloo Lumpy and a pic of her with hers for her 8x8 autograph /scrapbook. She loves Lumpy and loves her stuffed animals.
