Lump on the neck??

Last month, DH had an ear infection that just wouldn't go away. Took 10 days of antibiotic, then another 10 of ear drops (along with flushing) in order to get it to clear. Now, we notice a lump on the same side of the neck that his ear problem was. In the location of the glands are. Anyone ever hear of something like this happening? I don't know whether the 2 are connected at all. I called the doctor first thing this morning but the "all calls are being directed to voice mail" message played. You would think in 8 hours, someone would of had the time to call back!

I had a lump on my neck several years ago during a bout with a sinus and ear infection. I believe it was on the right side and the Dr told me something about sinuses draining on the right side of your throat. Something of that nature. I was put on antibiotics and subsequently on another round before it all cleared up.

My sister had a benign cyst, maybe that is all it is.

After an infection, my boy's glands will sometimes stay swollen for quite awhile. Ped. said it was okay, when I called with thyroid concerns. Good luck!

My oldest DS would always have swollen lymph nodes after an infection (cold, flu, etc). Freaked out the first time. He was less than six months old. Rushed him to the dr. thinking it was really serious. He's now 34 with two littles ones of his own. Hope it's as simple as that.

My DS4 has a pea sized lump on each side of the back of his neck.. He has eczema, and the dermatologist and the pediatrician say that these are imflamed lymph nodes and it is an accompanying symptom of the eczema ..Nothing to be done..

I agree, lumps are scary..sorry your Dr's office isn't answering your call, that really makes me mad..
