I stumbled across this on the interwebs today. From the looks of it, Luigi's new ride is about 1 minute long. Holy heck, I thought that the Peter Pan ride was short at 3 minutes, but a minute long? Disneyland took Luigi's offline for a year for THIS?!

I've heard it's supposed to be a minute and a half. Most reviews I've read have been positive.

My bad. 90 sec, not 60. Oh, well, in that case, an extra 30 seconds! TOTALLY WORTH IT! :rotfl2: lol. Yeah, I will totally stand in line for that! Not.

They had it open for cast members yesterday. It looked alright. Im sure kids will love it.

:tink:All those awesome rides are "only" 2 minutes long? Disney magic is indeed strong! pixiedust:

I'm excited to go on it at least once :] Depends on how long the line is though, I guess.

Here is a list of ride lengths in minutes. In your case you shouldn't stand in line for Tea Cups, Astro Orbiter, Dumbo, or Gadget's as all of those rides are also less than 2 minutes long. https://touringplans.com/disneyland/attractions/duration

Edit:
Here's the list of wait times at DCA https://touringplans.com/disney-california-adventure/attractions/duration

So also make a note to avoid Jumpin' Jellyfish, Ladybug Boogie, Goofy's Sky School, and Flik's Flyers.

Thanks for these links! I'd never seen the ride times before. The one that stood out the most was that Indiana Jones is 10 minutes. It's such a fun ride that it feels more like 5. I definitely wouldn't have guessed it as being longer than Haunted Mansion.

Also love that Pirates is 15 minutes. I knew it was long but 15 minutes for a ride is remarkable. The ride is longer than the wait more often than not!

Well currently the line is around 90 min long. So 90 seconds is not worth it

I went on the kiddie roller coaster once about 15 years ago in Toon Town. It was about a minute and a half long and we waited 30 minutes to ride it. It was disappointing, but I see it's purpose. It's great for younger children. However, I still think that it's a long time to wait for something like that. So yeah, I will pass. Hope everybody enjoys Luigi's, though!

One of the great things about Mater's, is the line isn't usually bad. I imagine Luigi's will be better after the initial curiosity wears off.

Of course the ride isn't for everyone, but the great thing about these types of rides is that everyone can see what the ride entails before they get in line. You can look at the ride and the expected wait time and then make an informed decision about whether it's worth it to you to do.

Touring Plans just posted their review and it like others I've read it was quite positive:

Luigi’s is a low capacity, slow-loading cycle ride, and because of that we expect it to have 30 to 60 minute wait times until the newness wears off. After the lines die down in a few months this I can see myself riding it a lot. Vacationers and other infrequent visitors should definitely add it to their touring schedules. Is it better than Luigi’s Flying Tires? Yes. I wasn’t one of the Tires haters (but it was far from my favorite attraction), but now guests won’t have to figure how to control the ride vehicle. I can’t count how many times I saw frustrated riders on the Flying Tires sitting in place because they couldn’t figure out how to move their vehicle. Roadsters fixes all that. Riders can sit back and enjoy. Overall it’s a simple and fun ride that you can do between DCA’s headliners like Radiator Springs Racers or Tower of Terror. Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters officially opens March 7, 2016.
