Luggage Transfer

Doing a split stay. I read someplace on the boards that they won't transfer your luggage for you if you have a rental car. I've tried searching but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know if this is true?

Will they still transfer your luggage from one hotel to the other even if you have a rental car?

I'm not sure about this but I don't see why it would matter. It is a service all resort guests shouold get if they are switching resorts. Good luck!

If you are going from one Disney resort to another, they will trasnfer your luggage regardless of your mode of transportation. Most people have their luggage picked up in the morning, check out, go off to a park for the day, then check into the new resort later in the day and have the luggage delivered to the new room. Really coudn't be easier.

Absolutely. We've done this many times even though we usually have a car. It's worth the tip not to pack the car and crag the luggage around.

We actually just did this a few weeks ago. Left the WL and checked into the Poly in the morning. They made sure to tell us that luggage transfers were done between 1:00 and 3:00. When we got to our hotel at 4:00, we called luggage services and they brought our luggage within 20 minutes. Couldn't be easier. Just had to give a tip on both ends. Oh, we had a rental car and we were not asked about it.

Is it possible that this happened once during an extremely busy day or a day when luggage services at one hotel had a shortage of employees and somehow this rumor started? Maybe in those scenarios, someone was asked if they could transfer their own luggage just because luggage services was overwhelmed.?????
