When moving from one resort to another, what has been your experience with luggage transfer? How long did it take for your bags to reach your next resort? Did you have to claim them or were they waiting in your room? We've always carried our own bags but will be unable to do so for our short July trip with no car.

We always just drop them off at the luggage handlers and have them move them over then drive to the next resort check in leave for the day and the bags are in teh room when we arrive back later that day. We do this on every trip even with DVC and have never had any problems it is quite easy and very conveniant.

We have done this on several occasions....it is my understanding that they transfer luggage between resorts routinely once a day....so make sure e they have your bags to be moved by/before regular check out time. They then send them on to your next resort. We have never had any trouble getting our luggage, but it can take several hours. They often do not deliver to the new resort until mid/late afternoon. So don't expect it to arrive at your new room at noon even if the new room was ready and you got in early.

You can just call bell services when you get to your new room and they will bring it up for you.

We just got back from an 8 night trip. We moved from POR to Poly and POR transferred our bags to the Poly. Take what you need with you because it can take a while. It was after 6 at night before we got our bags. We used Magical Express from the airport and they misplaced one of our bags for several hours and gave us someone else's bag but they eventually got it all worked out. It was a nice service but I was anxious each time the bags were transferred until I actually got my bags.

We transferred from ASMo to Pop earlier this month and bell services had our bags in the room by 4:00 when we got back from the park! I will admit I was a little bit nervous, but I always stress about things like that!

We've had our luggage transferred from resort to resort several times now. I had no issues at all until last week!! We were at BCV and were moving to POR on Friday. Bell Service at BC had our luggage at 8:30 in the morning. Told me it would be between 1 and 3 before the stuff got to POR. No problem, I knew this. We would be having breakfast at CP around 10 and then staying in the park until 2:30 or so. Then check-in at POR. Well, we did breakfast and found it was just too hot and crowded to stay in MK. So, at noon we went to POR and checked in. They had a room in bldg 34 ready, but when I, kiddingly, asked if they thought we misbehaved and that was the reason I kept being put in either 34 or 35, the CM told me that if I wanted to wait, I could have a room in bldg. 14. Heck yeah...I'll wait. So, we wandered around, dd went to the arcade. At just before 3 our room was ready. I walked over to Bell Services to see about getting my bags. They didn't have 'em!! They called BC and were told.."We've been too busy to make the transfers today!" Said they would get right on it. At this point it was 3:20. So, I go back to our room, my dd is tired, hot and cranky and just wants to swim. Can't do that since her suit is in the luggage. So, we go get a bite to eat. At 4:45 I call BS back and they say nothing yet but they will call BC again and let me know. The girl called me back and told me that they STILL hadn't sent our stuff over. SHe would call me when the stuff arrived. I got a call at 5:30 telling me that Bell Services was going to bring them right to us.

Now, I usually don't get too perturbed about stuff like this. But to be told that they are 'too busy' is just out of line, imho. If I had known it was going to take that long to get my bags, I would have taken a cab directly to POR, with my luggage. Very disappointed with BC in that regard. But, as I said....we have had very good luck previously with the luggage transfer. Hopefully this was just a one-time incident.

It took us a while to get our luggage this time, too. We transferred from CB to BWV and didn't get our luggage before 5:30. This was a pain for us because we were going to La Nouba that nite and wanted to get cleaned up a bit. Instead, we went in our tired, sweaty park clothes. We got our luggage when we got home after 9. Usually there has been no problem with this service but it fell through this time.

So, I guess if you don't mind waiting until early evening to get your bags, it's fine. No big deal if you'll be out all day and come in after dinner. If it'll worry you, get a taxi.

I didn't have any problems switching in May from WL to Poly. We checked out of WL at 11:00 and called valet to come get our bags and cold food we had purchased. They gave us receipts for all of our bags and told us our luggage would be at Poly around 2:00. We headed out to Epcot for a while, and checked in at Poly at 2:45. I walked over to valet and they had our bags waiting, with our cold food in cold storage. It went very smoothly.
