Luggage transfer between hotels?

we will be changing from Grand Californian to Paradise Pier our last night. If we have have Disney transfer our luggage, can anyone tell me how that process works?

There does not seem to be an official policy, but there have been several posts that luggage transfer is available between DLR hotels.
There have also been (older) reports that transfer was not available.

Call GCH Bell Services from your room to have luggage picked up, and let CM know you want luggage transferred to PPH.
Once you are in your PPH room, you should be able to call PPH Bell Services to deliver you luggage.

I checked out of PPH on Wednesday to go to Grand Californian and the front desk cm asked if I needed assistance when I mentioned it. I said no, I have rolling luggage and planned to roll on over!
