They will be made available at the port, I assume. When we get them will we need tape to attach them to bags?

Things may have changed since 2018 but we have had two experiences with this and DCL. At both PC and Miami they had blank sticky tags, just the like ones they send home. The porter wrote our stateroom number on the tag.

Thanks…we booked only 10 days before, never had a chance to get them, really!
I know we need tape for one of the cruise lines we use!

We did get luggage tags approximately 2-3 days before our August 27 sailing. We had changed cabins 12 days prior so our luggage tags had the old stateroom number on them. In the past (pre-covid) when we needed additional luggage tags, they had the type that was similar to the airlines with the stretchy loop that goes around a handle. I believe that was a very last minute booking, 3 days before.
In 23 cruises, I don't ever recall needing to bring tape.

They will take care of it! No worries! Have a great cruise!! :thumbsup2:goodvibes:goodvibes:wave:

We just booked this morning for the September 27th Dream and I was wondering about luggage tags too....we are 21 days out so I guess it could be hit or miss if we get them. We are heading down to Florida a few days before so it they arrive 2-3 days before we won't get them in time

I just looked back at our dates. We booked Aug 27 on Aug 12, which is 15 days prior. Hopefully you'll get them before you leave but if not, know that they'll take care of you. I know you already know this. ;) Che sara, sara. Whether they come or not, you'll still be cruising.

It felt soooo good to be on the ship, at sea. It was by far our most relaxing cruise ever. Maybe I'm just appreciating it all a lot more because we couldn't for so long. Maybe it's that we've been dealing with my father in the hospital then rehab, etc that I just desperately needed some downtime. Just seeing a sunset at sea, the sky so full of stars. Walking around the ship. If it weren't for needing to keep a closer eye on my dad taking his medicines, and that I'm trying to save vacation hours to do our WBPC in March, I'd be doing one of these 3-nt quickie cruises at least once per month while it's so empty.
I look at it like when we went to WDW shortly after 9/11 and we could ride Splash Mountain twice without having to get off because no one was in line. It's a once in a lifetime event. In hindsight, we should have gone twice or stayed longer. It's taking some really bitter lemon and making lemonade of it.

I just teared up reading this.....I understand what you are going through with your dad. Both my dad and Mike's dad passed away within 48 hours of each other last August so it has been a very stressful 2 years or so. Mike's dad was very ill with cancer (Mike took care of all his meds and daily needs) for many months so his death was not a surprise but my dad just dropped dead with a brain bleed literally 48 hours before Mike's dad. We were all in shock as he was a vibrant and healthy man who was at the gym every day. Our last cruise was Feb of 2020 so a few weeks before the shut down. We miss it so much. Was so glad we could book this 4 day. We will celebrate our 42nd anniversary onboard. Usually we go with a group but this is just going to be him and I. Doing 3 nights at WDW first.

Oh my, 48 hours apart? I can’t even imagine how painful that is. Trying to lean on each other when you’re both falling down.

Your cruise won’t take away your pain but it does give you some opportunity to surround yourselves in natural beauty while you heal.

Hugs to you and your family.
