Luggage tags...

Need clarification please. They gave me leather luggage tags and paper tags.
It instructs you to put your tags on the bag before departing. I'm afraid the paper tags will not hold up on the incoming flight.
What ones should I use

They want you to use the paper tags. They hold up better than you would think.

From our last couple of trips (can't remember the tags prior to that), we only put the paper tags on as are we leaving the first hotel.
I think the paper is more for tracking for baggage collection.
If you had a long transfer/larger group you could put them on once you collect your bags at the airport. We have never had anyone else on our transfers, so no way the bags could get mixed up!
