Luggage tags on Magic

This will be our 1st DCL cruise. I keep seeing ads for cruise luggage tags. Does Disney mail you peel & stick luggage tags like those used on the Magical Express or are they flimsy paper tags that require a plastic tag holder? If I need the tag holder, what size? I see they come in various sizes & shapes.

DCL will send you tags like airline baggage check tags for your luggage for when you board the ship. If you are arriving at the airport the day of your criuse, put them on your luggage at your home airport and they will be delivered to your ship. If not, don't put the tags on until the day of your cruise.

The Disney Cruise Line tags are the same peel-and-stick style as Magical Express tags. They don't require a holder.

They are not required on Disney. But most other lines make you print your own (or use porter-written ones) and do arts and crafts or use purchased tag holders, so someone used to those lines would not expect the nice adhesive ones DCL sends.

So true! My HAL tags are just made with packing tape!

I am soo glad you asked this. Our roommates are leaving on a cruise on Friday and they were adamant about the tag holders and now they are showing up all over my FB page. I was going to ask about the size of the tags for the Dream. Thanks for letting me follow along!
