Luggage tags mailed for GTY?

I’m wondering if they still mail luggage tags for those that book GTY status and don’t get assigned a stateroom until close to sail date. We got assigned our room 16 days before and haven’t received tags yet (9 days before sail date) so wondering if they will just give them to us at the port or what other GTY people have experienced.

We sailed VGT a couple weeks ago. Got the room assignment about 2 weeks out. Got the luggage tags the week before the cruise with the assigned cabin number listed.

Disney's been really flakey about the luggage tags lately. We never got them for our October 31 NYC cruise. Others here often ask about missing luggage tags or report that they arrive after a cruise or never arrived. I wouldn't worry about it, though. They'll tag your luggage at the port.

I think you can blame the USPS for some of it. I had an Amazon pkg delivered USPS on Saturday and they, USPS, still show it in transit and Amazon is apologizing about it being late

As far as I can tell, Disney never even mailed my luggage tags.

Thanks! Either way I’m fine, just like getting the tags as another part of the countdown excitement.

I found out my stateroom number 9 or 10 days before, and I did also receive luggage tags with that stateroom number on them.

We were GTY for A Thanksgiving cruise on the Dream. Received our assignment about a week before we sailed. Our luggage tags were sent overnight to us and arrived the Monday of Departure before noon. We live in Texas. I'm not sure what they were thinking, but I wasn't happy about having a package on our doorstep the week we were gone. The porters at the port put luggage tags on our luggage when we got to the ship. I wish Disney would do like other lines and also have a way for you to print your own from home.

That was the cruise I was scheduled for, before I had to cancel it at the last minute due to Covid symptoms. I life in Texas, too. My stateroom was GTY, received the exact room a little over a week before sailing, and my luggage tags arrived a few days before the cruise. Too bad that I wasn't in a position to use them, though. Sorry you didn't get yours in time!

My luggage tags were sent three days before sailing from San Diego, also on October 31 - I had previously enquired and was told they were sent October 20 and I would "definitely receive them in time." They arrived the day after I returned.

I sailed 6 GTY's since June and got luggage tags on time for two, late for one and not at all for 3.

We sailed GTY at the beginning of November. We received our stateroom number about 2 weeks before our cruise. We didn't receive any luggage tags before our cruise, but when we came home they were in our mail!

We did GTY in October and never received our luggage tags. But it wasn't a big deal to get tags at the port.

They arrived today! I wasn’t worried about not getting at port, it’s just one of the final exciting things in the countdown.
