I know I've seen this before somewhere. Let's say we were staying one night at a value then rented points at a DVC property. (The weekends are too expensive) How easy is it to have our luggage transferred to our new resort? Will we need to be there right away or can we enjoy the morning at a park and meet up with our luggage during our resting period in the middle of the day? Thanks for your input.

I believe when you leave the value resort in the morning you just call down to bell services and they will pick it up and transfer it to the new resorts bell service, so when you check in your luggage will be waiting.

Enjoy!!

We have done this and it works very well. But be aware....if you are moving from a value resort it could take quite awhile to get your luggage. It might not get to your DVC resort until late in the day...not a huge problem since 4:00 is check-in for them. We usually call bell services to tell them we are checking out that day and where we are moving to. Then I head on over to the new resort after breakfast (or after doing the emh park) and check-in. No, my room is most likely not going to be ready, but they will give me a phone number to call and check on it throughout the day to see if it is ready.

So, be sure to take anything you might need in a tote bag for the day...change of socks, bathing suits...whatever.

We just did this 3 times during our trip earlier this month. We called bell services when we were ready to check out told them what hotel we were staying at next. Later in the day we would check in at the hotel and once we got in our room we called bell services and they brought our luggage up. It was very easy. Tipping became a little expensive but it was worth it. We were there for 2 weeks, we drove so I of course over packed big time so it was much easier to have them move our luggage.
