My daughter and I are going to POFQ for the Pirate and Princess party in January. We will not be leaving Disney until late the day after the party, after check-out. I understand the hotel will store your luggage on request. Where do they store it? They don't just throw it out on the sidewalk like they do with the Magical Express luggage do they? TIA

:confused3 When do they throw the ME luggage on the sidewalk? I've seen it arrive at the resorts in locked storage type crates......

At the airport we saw lots of luggage just pulled aside down at ME. I assumed it was waiting for some ME CM to come get it.....eventually. There wsn't anyone standing near it.

Luggage is put on a cart, taken to the storage area where it is put on another cart which is tagged. It seems like some of those carts are caged and they lock it but I can't remember for sure. The only ones allowed in the storage areas are employees.

You should not have seen any luggage that was in the control of ME. because it does not make it from the unloading area to the baggage claim area.
If you saw it in the ME reception area or near busses it was because people were not using ME luggage transfer and schleped their own bags out there to go on busses. and if they don't use the yellow tags before leaving home then it is not ever in Disney ME control at all and only in the control of the airline then the passenger. Disney claims no responsiblity for any lugguge without the yellow tags, except. those that people did not have tags for , [late bookings perhaps] in which case the passenger checks in at ME and gives them the claim checks and the ME people go and pull those from Baggage claim. But such bags would be the exception not the rule and there should not be many of them.

There were about 20-30 bags piled up against a wall very close to the ME check in desk at 7pm.... There weren't enough passengers there using ME for it to be people carrying there own luggage then. And it was so close to ME it looked like it was part of ME, but may not have been. :confused3

But there was no one near it or looking at it. And it was close enough to ME to make me worry that mine might end up there later cause it sure looked like it was ME luggage.
