Luggage storage at DLP

Right everyone, I'm afraid I'm going to flood the board a little bit with some questions in preparation of my trip next week party: well maybe not flood but perhaps a baby ford!!!

Anyhows I know that there is somewhere that people generally can store luggage at DLP. Has this changed at all with heightened security measures? I believe there is an option to store at guest relations and in the train station. Guest relations would be my preference but can non-disney hotel guests store their luggage there (I'm staying in Bussy St Georges this trip!)

Thanks you wonderful people. Have some pixiedust:

I don't know if there have been any changes because of security issues, but last January I was able to store stuff at the Guest storage (or whatever it's called!) even though I was only a day tripper. :)

I'm not quite sure if the Guest Storage (that's located outside of DL Park Gates, on the right) is actually used to store "luggage" for people. It was my understanding that it's basically used to store smaller packages (ie. tote bags, shopping bags, etc) that guests do not want to carry around while in the park. They just pick them up at the end of the day. There is a charge of 2.50 euros per bag. I think there is a limit of 1 bag per person. You sign a sheet and pay the clerk. The clerk will then give you a ticket/receipt. (I had an annual passport, so this service was free.)

I also found out that the storage "lockers" inside the park (underneath the train station) were all "fake". It's just there for show and are not actually used for any storage. I found this out from a clerk inside the park who gave me directions to the Guest Storage area.

If you are looking for a place to hold your luggage (ie. travel suitcases, etc), then check with the hotel that you're staying at. Otherwise, I cannot remember any locations on Disney property that has something available for non-hotel guests.

Hope this helps.

Waaaaayyyyy back in the day, you could use the lockers under Main Street Station. It cost 10ff to use them but they stopped people using them in the days of hightened security. So they are real, just unusable.

I have a sneaky feeling there is a left luggage place inside the train station - anyone ever seen this??

We last visited at Easter 2006.

On our last day we took all our Luggage (suitcases etc) to Guest Storage (right hand side of the DL Hotel, near Salon Mickey entrance). They didn't seem to have a problem taking it - well they took the luggage, and didn't complain!.

The biggest hassle was going thru Guest Security at the initial gates, as they wanted (understandable) to peer inside most of the bags.

We weren't staying at a Disney Hotel, we were at the Holiday Inn.

Regards

Good to know :thumbsup2

I'm glad we plan to use it for 'real' luggage for our short trip in January when we are staying at the Marriot to get straight to the park. :thumbsup2

I know you are already at DLRP having fun Jennifer :Pinkbounc but this is for anyone else who is interested. Guest storage to the right of the ticket booths will take anything (within reason! :rotfl: ) for you, they do not ask where you are/have been staying. The cost is 2.50 euros per suitcase/holdall/carrier bag (regardless of size) or if you are an annual passholder you can store up to 3 items free of charge.

There are lockers at the train station which are large enough for suitcases but I have never used these.

Hi there

Following on from this and my other post about tv's etc. we are arriving by eurostar direct service and not wanting to take my electronic bits around the park with me. We are using the luggage transfer service from the train station to the hotel but not sure I want to give them some fragile bits. Would I be better off using the guest storage area, how secure is this? I am guessing it would be fairly safe. Does anyone know of bags going missing during the hotel transfer?

Thanks
Steve

I think you would feel a lot happier using the guest storage for your fragile bits Steve. The guest storage area is very secure, each item you leave with them is separately tagged and you are given a receipt. No one can access the items left there except for the Cast Members working there. You deal with them over the counter (or through the door for larger items). :)
