I am looking at a se of luggage by samsonite on ebags for 104.00. I am wondering if this is decent luggage and a good price for it.

I have had my samsonite set for 11yrs now and have been very happy with them. unfortunately I had to throw my large suitecase away b/c had dh put it in storage instead of listening to me and the wheels started to break into pieces. I must admit I am glad I had a reason to get rid of it and get a new set b/c they were just plain green and I want something girl. I do still have the carry own and the garmet bag.

Samonite sells many types/levels of luggage, so I am not sure about the price. However, I can tell you a year ago, I bought a set of Samsonite Silhouette 11 luggage that rolls in all directions, and I love it! Got it from ebags at less than half of the department store price.

You may want to keep in mind how heavy the luggage is when empty to avoid extra baggage fees. I fly Spirit Airlines frequently. Checked baggage weight was recently changed on the airline from 50 lbs. to 40 lbs. Anything over 40 lbs. will be an additional fee. So, when I needed to replace my old luggage, I bought a piece of Samsonite lightweight luggage at TJ Maxx. Who knows, other airlines may get the same idea and change the weight of checked baggage, too.

It really depends what you are looking to get out of it? How often you travel? That is the lowest quality Samonite luggage you get. If you travel once a year it should be fine, if you travel more than 5 times a year I would go with something better.
