Luggage scales

I bought some a couple of years ago and they were the best thing ever! Spot on as well - literally on the button with what the airport scales were both ways and on the connections. :thumbsup2

We did the same and they are definately a good idea if you can get a reliable set.
Much cheaper than having to pay the excess at the airport :thumbsup2

Good point. Often the problem is actually having the weight unevenly distributed, rather than being overwieght. The trouble is, if one bag is 10 kg and the other is 25, they don't combine the weight so you would have to cough up for that one bag, even though you technically are well within your limit. For this reason they are wonderful!

Hi

We bought some from Lakeland Plastic a couple of years ago:thumbsup2

Paid about £20 for them but theve been worth every £££££:worship::confused:

Especially with spending xmas in Florida:rotfl2::rotfl2:

One year we had to rearrange our luggage at the airport. The next trip I looked in my fishing box and took my fish scale (up to 75 lbs.) So is you fish get a fish scale serves a dual purpose.

I actually don't think there is any difference between fishing scales and luggage scales except in name (and maybe in price). Only thing is that I don't fish. I did once catch a fish :) but it certainly wasn't worthy of bringing scales .... I accept that I am much better at shopping

Thanks for the link, I am going to buy a pair.

Last year had to move bits around cases at Orlando airport as one case was too heavery:rotfl2:

If I remember correctly the ad for the scales says they can also be used for fishing! :)

We bought some for our last trip and they were worth every penny. :)

I'll second that! Last year they proved a lifesaver. We were a bit rushed courtesy of one more round on Splash Mountain but at least we ended up repacking in the resort lobby instead of in the airport (which was total CHAOS that day)! ;)

We finished packing tonight, taking 1 case each.
I guessed all the weights, I said 2 at 17kg, 1 at 12kg. Actual weights 2 at 17.3, 1 at 12.1. The 2 at 17.3 are almost full, would have to be seriously overfull to get 23kg in. I am usually quite accurate with guessing and never been anywhere near limit so not taking our scales(might put me over limit:goodvibes).

In that case I shall withdraw all my praise for the luggage scales, put them up for sale on eBay and borrow you to check our luggage weights ......

One of the best things I ever bought, i ams o much calmer at the airport and i have the weight dead on every time:thumbsup2

You are just a walking scale Wayne :thumbsup2

We were glad of the scales since we had to re-pack one of the cases to spread the weight.
