due to the new airline restrictions..lost luggage is up about 33%! has anyone recently had luggage problems via the magical express system? we used the magical express to deliver our luggage to our rooms last jan. it worked fine..but i'm just wondering if the new restrictions with the lost luggage have impacted the magical express at all? :confused3

We traveled to Disney Sept 23rd and left the 29th and our luggage ended up where it was supposed to both times. It took about 6 hours to get our luggage, but I think that was due to 880 people checking in that day. Anyway, no problems here.

Oct 28th -31st and all was fine 1 hours 2 bags in room 1 hour later the third. We watched them take the 2 bags off the truck as we were pulling up in the bus at POFQ.

For halloween thats not bad at all.

We were there Sept 15th-23rd and had no problems. DME was great!

I was at POFQ November 4-10 and had no luggage problems.

Just remember, if the airlines are losing 33% more luggage, that doesn't in ANY WAY mean that Disney's Magical Express isn't working well. If the luggage doesn't get to DME, then how can DME be at fault?

cleverocks..

i was just wondering if somehow if the lost luggage problems were tied together. or i.e. the airport claims to have shipped the suitcase to orlando airport but somehow got lost en route to the dme?

On the news in my town (Sacramento) this morning, they said lost luggage was up 92% nationally....

This is the reason I decided to ship down much of my stuff ahead of time, and carry-on the rest...I will NOT deal with lost luggage! It's a shame, because DME seems to work so well. I trust them, but I can't trust the airlines any longer.
