Luggage on Different Flight and Magical Express

I've planned a long weekend trip in December and my sister and her husband decided to come too. they have their own reservation. We live in the same town but we are flying on different airlines. I am flying on Jetblue (no free luggage anymore) and they are flying Southwest (free luggage). They arrive at MCO a couple hours ahead of me.
Can I put one of my Magical Express tags on my luggage, send it on SW with my sister and expect it arrive in my room even though it wasn't on "my" flight?

The Magical Express tags only have information about which hotel your luggage needs to go to - the DME employees aren't going to know (or care) that your luggage came in on a different flight than you did.
