Luggage issues

We arrive on the Sept 24th around 9:30 pm and are staying that evening at a value. Then checking into our DVC on the 25th.

Can we have ME take our luggage over the to the DVC and have them just hold it until we arrive the next morning? Is this even possible?

I can't see us keeping our 4 yr old disabled son in line and carrying our luggage to our room at value, carrying it back out. It is sooo much work. If we just have our carry on with essential items, check in to the value, check out and go to DVC it would make life easy.

I hope it can be done, please let me know.

I don't think this can be done in the way that you describe. If you're taking the ME bus from the airport to the value, the luggage tags that you will get from DME will be bar-coded for the value resort. The bags will be picked up by DME as soon as they're removed from the plane and taken to your resort - there's just no mechanism for taking your bags to a different resort.

That said, ME will bring the bags right to your room at the value, so no worries about having to drag your luggage to the room.

The next morning, you can have your luggage transferred to your DVC resort. Just call bell services at the value, and tell them where your bags are to be sent, and they will come get them and take them to the DVC resort.

Not quite as easy as just having the bags go automatically to your DVC resort, but it's as close as you're going to get, I think.

Thank you, I have asked and that is the answer. They will go to the value but I can tell the desk to keep them and have them go directly to the DVC the next morning.

I was also told they have a courtesy van that can come and pick us up from the value and take us to OKW. That really is good news! I didn't know about this service.

So we should be ok and hopefully have a stress free trip.

I noticed today that everyone was a bit short and agitated. Finally the man at ME told me and entire system is down and it is causing huge problems for everyone. If they just said they were having computer problems it would have explained the non helpfulness today.

I just write it off as a bad Monday for them and me.
