Luggage for land/sea

Will the resorts store your luggage for the land part or do you pack for the whole week and bring it all on board the ship? Can you tell I'm a first timer?

Everything travels with you from WDW to the boat. If you bought the Disney transfers, they will pick up the suitcases from your room that morning by 8:00 and deliver them to your room on the ship by 6:00 that afternoon.
