luggage for early dinner time

do you normally get your luggage in time for sat early dining time? does everyone (who does not get luggage in time )go very wrinkled to dinner the first night? I'm assuming that we're still supposed to wear nice pants/dress for supper and not sure how they will look after a day in an overnight bag!

first night is casual as they expect some not to receive their bags. We received ours about 5:30 or so, just in time for dinner.

We've been on the Magic and Wonder each one time and checked in by noon. In each case, the luggage showed up by 3:00 PM. However, We always pack one set of "good" casual clothes (e.g. pressed khaki's and a shirt with collar) in our carry on bag, in case luggage is lost / delayed.

We have cruised twice..and our luggage was always there by 3pm..at the latest. They say all luggage will be delivered by 5 or 5:30 when you get the check in navigator.

I try to pack a little something for dinner that night for hubby and I that dosn't wrinkle so much..and the few wrinkles we just deal with. We send everything else out to be pressed as soon as the luggage arrives and we are good to go for the week.

We considered bringing clothes that day..and decided way to much of a bother..lol. We would rather have fun/check out the ship and not be weighed down with extra stuff.

Our room was changed at port checkin and our luggage didn't get to our room until after 7:30. Luckily we wore clothes that worked for dinner that night--me in capri outfit and DH and DS in nice shorts and shirts. Lots of people were in the clothes they wore onto the ship as noone wanted to miss the shows and characters. It is pretty casual that first night. I would recommend packing an outfit for each in your carryon that you can hang up to get the wrinkles out of.
