I dont know if they are there, but when I've been to the major airports in Houston/Austin/Nashville they had people outside the gates that could assist you if you needed (or could be paged to help)...I'm thinking that they are a diff version of Skycaps than the ones that check your luggage because I've noticed they dont work for specific airlines. They usually are wearing black polos (Or at least the 4 airports I've been in lately they have). You could always call the airport and find out if they have something like that.
are ther possibly luggage carts at the gates when you arrive at MCO to assist with getting 2 full sized carseats, 2 toddlers, 1 double stroller and the rest of us and our carry on's to the place to be picked up by DME bus? I know they are all around baggage claim, but I know that that is an extreme hike from the gates, and won't really be seein' baggage claim thanks to DME. Our home airport is tiny, so it isn't too big of a deal, to worry about, but MCO is huge!!!
