Hi there! I have asked American to have a wheelchair waiting for me when I arrive at MCO and we're staying at the Hyatt in the airport until the next day when we take the ME to our resort.

Does anyone know how or where to get a skycap to help go to baggage claim with us and get our luggage and help us get it to the hotel? And can the wheelchair person take me there too? I wonder if I can get help going from the hotel to the ME line the following morning, too?

The airline rep said she didn't handle skycap so I'm not sure how to find out.
Thanks!

Last we were there, Skycaps were still not back and even when they were there, they would not come to baggage claim with you. That being said, if you tip nicely, the person assisting with the wheelchair MAY help you with the luggage.

At MCO the person assisting with the wheelchair has always also assisted with our luggage. We tip generously.

However, since you will be staying at the Hyatt in the airport, their Bell Services will retreive your luggage for your, for a small fee. On their webpage ( https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/florida/hyatt-regency-orlando-international-airport/orlan ) they state under amenities: "Baggage retrieval upon arrival (fee)". I strongly suggest contacting the hotel with your questions as they may be your best option - wheelchair assistance can get you there, and then hotel services can help with the rest, or at least can provide advice.

Awesome thank you! We were there in August and found a skycap (we do tip generously) and he helped.

Thanks to you for the tip - I called the Hyatt and they said we just come straight to the hotel and the bellman will go retrieve our luggage using the luggage tags for $10 and he will also take the luggage to the Magical Express for us, too! Nice!
