Myself, DW, and DDs (twins) are booked for the land/sea adventure. Our flight into Orlando does not arrive until late the night prior to the start of our vacation. We have booked a room at the Hyatt but here is my question....Do we have to lug our luggage back into the airport to get to the bus to WDW the next morning or does the Hyatt get the luggage to right people for shipment to the Poly?

Any aid would be appreciated.

PS. It snowed 2 feet yesterday. I wish April was here!!

I don't know about the land and sea packages, but if you have booked transfers on the DCL busses and stay at the Hyatt the night before the cruise, they will collect your bags from outside your room on the morning of the cruise and transport them to the ship.

When you check in at the Hyatt, let them know you are on a DCL land/sea trip. I would imagine that they have a similar setup, unless it is the morning of a cruise.

And if you do need to bring your luggage to the bus, the Hyatt is actually in the airport. Bus check-in is usually in the lobby of the Hyatt, so you shouldn't have far to bring your luggage.

Thanks for the info Senor. (Sorry, no tilde on the keyboard). I appreciate your assistance. This board has been a major help and all you "old hands" helping us "first-timers" is just a plus.

We stayed at the Hyatt the night before our cruise. We did not book our flight through DCL. We were told that since we did not use DCL we had to handle our own luggage. DCL and the Hyatt both gave me this info.

Shelly,

Did you book the transfers with DCL? In the past, they've collected my luggage both when I booked air with DCL and when I booked it separately, but we always buy the DCL transfers, which include luggage handling from the airport to the port. If you make your own arrangements to get to the port, then they will not transport your luggage.

Mike,

Try ALT+0241 to get the ñ.......

I called to get the DCL transfer. When I was given that info I decided against the transfer and used Happy Limo. I asked the employee at the Hyatt for future reference. This would not be the first time that I received incorrect info from a cast member so I am sure it is incorrect.

When we booked thru DCL and stayed at a WDW resort before the cruise, the DCL folks handled the luggage. On the upcoming cruise, also booked thru DCL (w/transfers), we'll be staying at the Hyatt. The cruise docs say to get yr luggage and take it to the Hyatt yrself. But it's literally right upstairs, so I don't think that will be a prob (esp now w/our new luggage w/wheels!). Because of the proximity, that's prob why even w/transfers they don't have someone meet you if yr staying overnight (since the hotel is in the same building). And of course once you get to the Hyatt you could have their porters take luggage to yr room if you want.
