Luggage - after check-out but before DME pick-up

I'm sure there's a really easy answer to this.

If we do end up going to WDW this year we would be staying at CBR, check-out is 11 I presume, our flight home would be for around 5 on AirTran, which I'll presume is not a participating airline. What do you do with your luggage, we only ever take carry-ons, until your DME pick-up time?

We wouldn't have a lot of time to do anything, maybe a nice lunch somewhere, but I wouldn't want to schlep our bags with us.

Bell Services maybe?

We've always had early return flights before and I just won't do that ever again. I don't like feeling rushed in the morning.

Thanks!

AirTran MIGHT be. they just finished a pilot program, so we'll see what the news is there.

if not (and even if they were, you'd still have to worry about carryon), yes, you can leave everything with bell services. just make sure you give yourself enough time to claim everything prior to the DME bus showing up.

also, because DME will arrange to pick you up around 2, another possibility is to request a late checkout of 1 pm. the sooner after checking in to your room, the more likely you will be able to get it approved.

Thanks for the quick response. I think I'd just as soon ask for a late check-out, didn't know that I could. And if won't be possible then it's good to know we have a second option.

It'd be nice if the pilot program were successful and AirTran became a participating airline ... be interesting to see how that went.

BTW - I'll have to show my boys your signature. They both love Stitch but love Star Wars even more. We didn't tell them that we had scheduled last years trip around Star Wars Weekend ... they were thrilled when they found out! They still talk about it.

IF you can't use RAC (meaning AirTran is still not 100% a 'participating' airline), and you can't get a late checkout, you can certainly leave your bags with Bell Services/Luggage Assistance. I did this is November, and it was a *snap*

They rarely do late check out and we always you bellservices or luggage assistance and it works out great.
