Does Lucky appear anywhere?

My DS and I were watching one of the shows featuring WDW that our TIVO recorded from the Travel Channel and it showed LUCKY THE DINOSAUR roaming around AK. :happytv:

Is he still around anywhere??

My DS8 really wants to see him on our trip in August!!

Lucky was walking, walking, walking... right out of DAK... right out of Orlando... right out of the COUNTRY.
:goodvibes

Lucky is now on a "world tour" of the non-USA Disney parks.

I think he will be returning to WDW, but I doen't know the timetable.

He was at the AK for a very limited time last summer. I think that he was there for maybe a month or two.

Let your DS know he didn't really miss anything. All the promises about how interactive Lucky would be were just ridiculous. There was a CM pratically attached to him that let ONE KID come up and pat Lucky on the head. My DS6 was in a crowd of about 10 other kids who were asked to sneak up on Lucky and try to scare his hiccups away, but certainly not touch him.

I saw Lucky last July at AK and while it was 'cool' to look at, it wasn't very special. He had a CM with him, like another poster said, and basically the CM put on a little show and then took Lucky away. If you ask me, I didn't really see what all the hype was about :confused3

I thought he was pretty cool. He scared the pants off my 2 year old. I wasn't expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised.

Sorry he scared your child, I can see how he would be scary to a 2 year old! I dunno, I guess I wasn't that impressed...to each his own though! :)

It was a big disappointment= we made a point of being in the right spot when he was due to come out. There we stood- my 4 children and I. And the CM walked right on past us to interact with an adult that had his back to them. I guess he thought it was funny? The man just walked away and Lucky kept on walking. No big thrill. The electronics interested my son(11 at the time) as he is on the robotics team at school(he'll be captain next year!)

I saw Lucky last May and enjoyed the experience. To me, seeing the crowd interact with an AA in real-time was pretty nifty. :confused3

I was one of the pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed Lucky and was so happy to be there when he was. It was alot of fun!!! :happytv:

Here's a picture of Lucky.

Ooohhh! We saw Lucky last year on our Disneymoon!!! We got some great interaction with him! Probably because we were wearing our Bride and Groom ears. He stopped right in front of us! Best of all, my DH got it all on video! How he managed to talk to Lucky AND video tape at the same time is beyond me, but he did a great job! DH loves Dinosaurs, so I really wanted him to see Lucky while we were there, and right when we walked into Dinoland on only our second day, this happened! Needless to say, DH was set for the rest of the trip! If anyone can tell me how to post a video, I would be glad to share it with everyone!

Lucky is not scheduled to return to WDW anytime soon. He may return someday, but I believe it will be a while. I've heard rumors from other sites and other Disney authors/web portals that Disney is working on another anomatronic similar to Lucky. The new anomatronic would be more along the lines of a Disney character.

This is striclty rumor at this point. Who know if it is true. Nothing official from Disney.

Ooooh, Elliot would be perfect, considering he doesn't really "talk" . . . not many kids these days know him now though. Though I've heard rumors they might remake the movie. I hope not, that's a classic. :)
