I've just read in another post that there are no characters at the LNS Dinner? In the Disney;and brochure that I have it leads you to belive that there are and I have booked it on that basis.

Does anybody know for sure if there will be characters there for dinner - my reservation is for August 29th.

heya, when I rang the reservation number I was told they are at lunch only, which dissappointed me as I don;t really fancy a huge buffet in the middle of the day but booked 2pm.

If it turns out the lady on the phone was misunderstood, I might call up and change it!

Found this info on their website:

In Disneyland® Park, at The Lucky Nugget Saloon.
Lunch: from 12noon to 3pm.
Dinner*: from 6.30pm to 10pm.
Disney Characters presence: 12noon to 3pm and 7pm to 10pm.
Prices (valid until 3rd April, 2008) :
Adult £21 Child £10
*Dinner is only available when Disneyland® Park opens until 11pm.

HUH! That's very contradictory to what was told.

I'll change my booking then I think. Thank you!!! :-)

I can't control myself at buffets, but when its combined with rides I don;t think it would end well!

It says on there that they only do characters at dinner when the park's open till 11 pm. Do you know what time will the park be open till when you're there?

Yeah, it opens till 11pm form July 5th, an I go on the 6th!

Month today! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :cool1:

When will I know if it is open til 11pm on August 29th? Does anybody know when those hours come out? Not like WDW is it where you get 6 months notice!!!

I'm 99% sure it will be 11pm! Summer season is all of august I think.

The LNS only does Character Meals, so if you've a reservation, rest assured you'll have characters. This restaurant is my sons' favourite, lots of food choice.
It's open every day for lunches, but dinner only in the evening when the park is open until 11.00pm.
Torsie24 it's quite likely you've been given the wrong info, we were told several times that the restaurant would only be open for dinner on one of our March trips, when I knew from info. on DIS that in actual fact it was only lunches, it took 3 phonecalls for me to get the correct booking. :rolleyes1

PS The Phantom Manor Cocktail they serve in here is out of this world. :lovestruc

Sweet Pea UK, are they taking reservations that far ahead now? They only used to do 60 days ahead, I wonder if it's changed.

I phoned on Tuesday to get LNS but it was booked up already for 27th and 27th - I ended up with the 29th. I managed to get Cafe Mickey for 28th and Auberge de Cendrillon for 27th. I would think they must have changed it as I think I ready somewhere than you can book 2 months out i.e. from 1st June you can book for anytime in August?

The Lucky Nugget is already fully booked??? :confused3 Goodness, I can't believe it's fully booked this far ahead. (My apologies for sounding like Victor Meldrew.) I wonder if it's not actually open for dinner that night but maybe not showing it in the system, or is it because the meal vouchers are becoming so popular. Even the official site still claims you can only book 60 days in advance but obviously they've changed this and we all know the official site is not exactly quick to move with the times! ;) Thanks for the tip off, Sweet Pea Uk! :goodvibes

Guess we'd better get a move on and work out where we want to eat. :)

I must be honest - I was really surprised. My TA rang as I was pre-paying through the Disneyland brochure. Unless they only let so many of those pre-book???? It made me get a wriggle on to book all the other nights I can tell you! Like you, I was convinced it was 60 days out and hadn't planned on ringing until a couple of weeks time.

Ahh, I'm sure that explains it!! :thumbsup2

Still, it's time to get myself organised and start planning ~ otherwise we will end up eating in McD's every night!!
