Luck with SoG Wait List??

Has anyone had any luck with the waitlist at Shades of Green? Our dates aren't currently available and no "overflow" discounts are available elsewhere on property, either. I put my parents on the waitlist today (dad is retired army)....
If this comes through, they wouldn't have to stay with us at BCV, which will save us a few DVC points

I am also on a wait list. When are you planning to go? I was trying for June. Keep calling, the one time we couldn't get a reservation, I called less then 30 days before our trip and I was able to get a room. We booked at SOG and cancelled our other reservation. Also when we went in Oct. the web site there were no rooms available I would keep checking and then there were rooms available. I am now thinking about Aug.

We've wait-listed several times and have always been lucky enough to get called, even when the hotel was half the size. I think a lot of people cancel about 30 days out. Don't know what dates you're looking for but I would definitely get on the wait list - there's nothing to lose! Good luck!

Worked for us. As I recall we had to make a choice as to being on the wait-list or taking overflow rates - which is not a problem you have so might as well get on. In fact, as it got closer to our dates I got to wondering if I had missed a message and called - I hadn't but shortly thereafter we got our reservation....Greg

My sister has stayed there twice - wait listed both times and got called for ressies both times. (but pretty close to their travel dates.)

Thanks, everyone, for your responses. Our travel dates are June 4-12, but actually, my parents have decided to wait to go with us until our October trip. Something about Florida being too hot in June??

I called SoG back, and those dates ARE available! Yeah!

Our friends will be canceling 2 rooms at SOG this week. Dates: June 9-15 and 9-20. Hope that helps someone.
