Luau

I am trying to decide if our family should go to the new Luau. Has anyone been? Is the food the same as the old Luau? Is the show different? I guess what I am asking is... is it worth the price?

Loved the show and food was ok when we attended last year,sorry I don't know if much had changed this was our first time going.

We went in January. Enjoyed the show (me, DH, DD10 and DS9), especially the fire dancer at the end. I love watching the native dances (as I'm sure DH did! LOL!). The food was a pleasant surprise, as I really didn't expect much. Roasted chicken, salad with a sweet dressing, pineapple bread - which I really liked! - and fried rice. The dessert was excellent - a chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce - and they bring it out on a smoky volcano tray.

The Poly is lovely, so the stroll to the Luau is nice also.

Thanks for the info. We were guests at the Poly and went to the Luau over 10 years ago and enjoyed the show but felt the food was nothing special so to speak. We now have more family members who have never been and we want them to enjoy the show. We were hoping the food had gained some flavor and status. It's really strange, we have been to the Hoop-
dee-doo almost 25 times, so many in fact we can recite the words before the players say them. It's so much fun and even though the menu has not changed the food is exactly what we expect for good old down home cookin' and we enjoy it as much as the show. I guess it's just different expectations.
