Any feedback on LTT character dinner (I guess no character lunch)? Have read various reviews in past. Anything more recent?? Character interaction, food, waiting times with PS, etc?? Thanks!

We've always had good luck with this dinner -- our last trip there was Sept 2000. Our kids are older (teenagers), but all the characters still stopped by and played with them. Goofy played little tricks on them -- it was really fun.

We think the food is great -- and with those teen boys, "all you can eat" is right up their alley!

I do suggest PS though as the place can get backed up. We have never had more than a 5-10 minute wait with PS.

We ate there in May and this was our review from 2 adults who love characters

The characters were Minnie, Goofy and Chip'n'Dale. Here the characters are in colonial dress and they look very smart and are just as friendly this time Minnie comes round to your table and my DBF flirted with her outrageously. This was my first time to a family style meal and I didn’t know quite what to expect. The starter was a salad of tossed mixed greens with a strawberry vinaigrette dressing which was zingy and fruity and just made you want more and more of the leaves. It was then followed by a plate of Turkey breast, carved beef, and smoked pork loin chops accompanied by mashed potatoes, vegetables, herb bread stuffing and macaroni and cheese – you then just help yourself and if you want more you ask for it although I don’t think you’ll be needing it. The meats were cooked to succulent levels and weren’t dried out. We opted to shared a dessert at an extra cost and we went for the apple crisp – which was a bit like an apple cobbler served with ice cream. I would go back as it was a definite feel good meal. The drinks were included in the price.

After dinner we came out into Liberty Square and found, much to our delight, the park was deserted. There was a security guard who pointed us in the right direction and we made our way over the bridge past the castle and down main street where some of the shops were still open. It was a wonderful feeling being one of say 50 guests in the park. The buses run a good hour and a half after the park closes from MK back to our resort which was a godsend.

This has been our favorite character meal for the last 2 years. We always try for an early PS - right around 4 pm or so, when it opens. The restaurant is usually pretty empty & you have the characters to yourselves!

The food is great, too - we always eat way too much here. We have a sort of tradition of eating here on the last night of our trip. We will be eating here again this December & can't wait! Hope this helps!

Ate here twice just a couple of weeks ago, and really enjoyed it. Food hot, plentiful and tasty. Great character interaction. Servers good both times. Had ps's both times, but second time it looked to be a walk in.

Thanks for the feedback.

Is the food served "family style" and those with children, what do they have for the little ones?

Had dinner there in early Aug.. It was great. Was my wife, two college age daughters and I. We had PS but walked in a little early... waited maybe 15 minutes to be seated. Food was very good (much better than I had hoped based on reviews I had read!). Salad great... potaotes, meats, veggies... all very good... beef was great.
Service was excellent. Character interaction was the best... lots of time with each character and they were really hamming it up... not just a stop by and then bye!

It was our first meal during our trip... got us off to a great start... would surely do it again...

I think little ones would enjoy the mashed potatos and/or mac & cheese... probably would like one or more meats... serveral from which to choose... they'll love the characters...

have fun
