I have an ADR for LTT for dinner for 1 night next month. We have NEVER done LTT before. Its just DH and I. We ARE doing other character meals including CP, Ohana, Donalds and Chef Mickeys. Im just not sure if I wanna pay that much for that kind of food. Sure the characters would be nice, but we dont go to somewhere just for characters. We go there for both - the food and characters. It would be $69 including tax and tip. We both like comfort food and the stuff they have on the menu, but how good is the food really...please be honest..cuz Ive been bouncing back and forth on this for awhile - should we keep or cancel? Oh yes, and I also know all about them getting rid of the characters in Jan.

UPDATE: I cancelled LTT. I decided to go with Tonys instead. We both loved it last time and the menu looks really good. So I managed to grab an ADR for Tonys.

We went back in 2006 and loved it!!! I can't say about recent food quality, but back then it was really enjoyable:goodvibes The only reason we haven't gone back since is we keep trying different places and have to only keep 1 or 2 favorites to go back to every year and this place was good, but didn't win out over CP or LeCellier.

The food is good, but I'm not going to lie - some of the sides are by Stouffer's. If you're going to go, try and get lunch instead.

I voted no as there are so many better places a couple can go to. The food hasn't been rated as very good and you dont need another character meal. Try something else that is more enjoyable:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Go now because it's changing! You wont get another chance to try it out as it is now! (With those characters) We missed out on so many places assuming they'd be there "next" time. We're in our 30's and enjoy it as much as the kids do! The food is pretty good, stouffers or not. :)

Since the character dinner won't be there much longer, you'd have to decide if you want to experience it before it is gone. Personally, I love it and we're going to have dinner there in August, but it's my only character meal for our trip (me and DD18). If you really want to experience it, you could consider changing one of the character meals you have scheduled and replacing it with something else.

When is LTT changing?

We really enjoy it, but I do agree, that's a lot of character meals. But hey, I love character meals so I'd probably keep it.

It's a must do every trip for us and I really really like the food. The turkey and ham is some of the best I've ever had. To me the only thing that tastes like stouffer's is the mac and cheese, but even then I think it's fine! Yummy, even. Maybe I'm just not hard to please. The character interaction is the best I've had at a character meal and it's been this way every single time. The characters come to our table at least twice during the meal. I'd definitely give it a go before the characters stop being there. :sad2:

This maybe your last chance before the dinner stops with Characters.

We really enjoyed it when we went for dinner a year and a half ago. We'll be going back for lunch when we go in December. Our only problem was that we were still full from lunch at Le Cellier earlier in the day. But we thought the food tasted pretty good. And the characters were fun, too. :)

No more characters and possible change in menu starting Jan 3rd....

I say go if you have the chance...The atmosphere is wonderful...Character interaction is great (they spend a lot of time at the table and sometimes even get to visit twice)....The food is good not great....We love a few things on the table and eat a lot of that (because they bring plenty more of what you like), there are some things we enjoy just enought to have a bit...The dessert is excellent...

This is your last chance to experience this place before it goes so I say GO :goodvibes

Just thought I would let everyone know, I cancelled LTT this morning at 7:08am to be exact. I decided to go with Tonys instead. We both loved it last time and the menu looks really good. So I managed to grab an ADR for Tonys.

I just wrote something similar on another post.

I thought lunch was very good, dinner was eehh. Seemed like cafeteria food. I wouldnt go back for dinner (I should say willingly! I am going to MVMCP in Nov. My choices were LTT / Tonys for dinner. I picked LTT only for the characters.)

As for the Stouffers...I got a meat stew bread bowl there once..UMMMM Yummy! I came home and went to my grocery store. Bought Stouffers Beef Stew and got bread bowls at the bakery...went home and made it myself...YUCK! I know there is a sign outside that states something about meals being presented by Stouffers, but for anyone who is turned off by that, trust me, its not the same as the frozen dinners!!

They probably get it from stouffers but cook it there. So its not frozen tv dinners most likely. I know the mac and cheese is from stouffers, but anything else, not sure on. But either way, they probably get the stuff and cook it. Not just throw it into a microwave for a couple minutes. So thats why it taste different. Just like with the TGIFridays frozen stuff you can get. Those potato skins..do NOT taste anything like the ones they actually serve at TGIFridays.
