DH and I are taking our DD(8 months) in April. We're trying to decide between LTT lunch or the character dinner. The LTT lunch menu looks like it has some unique choices (they sound so yummy, and the desserts, too!), but the dinner also sounds very good (but not as unique), plus it's a character meal.

We thought some character meals would be good since DD is intrigued by everything around her...she doesn't scare easily, so I don't think characters will scare her. We are already planning to eat at the following TS for our 7 day trip:
Cape May Cafe character breakfast
Crystal Palace character dinner
Garden Grille character lunch
Concourse Steakhouse lunch
Ohana's dinner
Mama Melrose's dinner
Le Cellier dinner

So what do you think? Do you prefer the lunch or dinner menu, and is the character interaction so good at the dinner that we should go with that?Thank you!!

Well, since it looks like you've got 3 other character meals, I would probably recommend lunch at LTT, but I may be biased since the lunch there is one of my favorite meals. It's a lovely, quiet setting - very relaxing and cool in the middle of a busy MK day. I haven't ever had the dinner there, but I can tell you that the food and service at lunch are terrific.

I'd recommend lunch for several reasons.

With an infant, a mid-day break at a sit-down restaurant will probably be welcome. This is especially true if you arrive at park opening, a good idea if you want to ride several Fantasyland attractions with minimum time in line.

The food is probably better at lunch. (I've only eaten dinner there.)

The LTT dinner is very similar to Garden Grill, so you may not want to do both. IMO Garden Grill has better food than LTT dinner, while the character interaction and service seem to be somewhat better at LTT.

We like the food at both meals, though we prefer lunch. The food's better than at dinner and the restaurant is quieter and more dignified at lunch.

I have to vote for dinner. DD (5) and I eat there each time we go. We have found this to be a great spot for character inertaction. They are not rushed and come by the table several time.
