Hello DISers!

I just scored a 4:55 ressie for LTT on the night we'll be at MVMCP. I wasn't planning on doing a TS restaurant on a party night bc time is precious, but I have been wanting to try LTT for a long time (it was closed during my last trip and I couldn't snag a ressie on the trip in 2012). It is the only TS restaurant I am considering bc of how long I have bee wanting to try it.

Here are my questions: since dinner is family style, with the drinks being the only thing you need to order, does dinner go by quicker than other TS restaurants, such as 50PT or WCC? Just wondering if I should really spare some of my precious time in MK to eat at LTT. Can I ask for the bill at the beginning of the meal, so that is out of the way? I am not a "foodie". I just like a good meal. Is it worth it since the refurb?

Thanks!
~PM

Please keep in mind that this is only one experience, but we had the same idea in December 2014 and wound up being seated over an hour after our reservation time. This resulted in us missing quite a bit of the party (despite the early ADR). If we could do it again, I would've simply done an early QS meal so we could enjoy the party activities.

I would say it depends on the rest of your trip. Are you using the 4pm entry to maximize your MK time, or are you already spending a lot of time in MK on other days? Even though ticket holders may enter at 4pm, I didn't find anything much party-related happening until the party actually started. So unless you are planning on using that time to catch up on rides or doing other things you won't have time for other days of your trip, then I think LTT is a great meal to have right before your party! I would not consider having an ADR after 7pm on a party day, but 4:55pm I would for sure. I just hope you aren't kept waiting like the PP!! Have a great trip!! :flower1:

The CHRISTMAS party will be our only time in MK. I don't plan on getting in line for the dwarfs or other popular characters. I had planned on using FPs and doing rides between 4-7. I don't think we will do any characters at the party (maybe one or two?). We don't care about the dance parties or shows. But will watch the fireworks and second parade. We plan on staying till midnight and getting in lines until 11:59!
I am torn about this. I don't know when I'll be back to Disney, but I am wondering if the food is really worth it. I would probably be happy with the chicken and ribs combo from cosmic rays (I loved that on my last trip!).

Based upon this, I would say go for it! We had younger kids who would've had a blast at the dance parties and shows. They also weren't going to be able to stay up for the second parade, so we had to do the first one. Since you're more than willing to forgo those right out of the gate and really want to experience LTT, I think it would be a good choice for you. We leave in a week (!!!) for a 2-week trip and we have LTT on the books, so obviously we liked the food. Go for it!
