We have an ADR for dinner at LTT. Has anyone eaten at LTT since they dropped the characters? I checked Allears but the only menu they have still lists the character meal. Is the menu the same or have they changed it since the characers were dropped? Also, do they have a kids menu for Dinner?

I have to admit that I ate there once 25 years ago, and the meal was about the same as they have listed on Allears - but they didn't have characters then.

Huh??? No characters? The Disney website as of this morning still lists characters. We're eating dinner there in April. Is it still family-style?

Hmm, when I checked the dining news on Allears it said this "Liberty Tree Tavern - As of January 5, 2009, no longer serves a character meal."

But then again, last year the main character was Minnie Mouse. If it's still characters I'm good with that. The kids will have four character meals though  . I think I'm going to be charactered out.

Still one question though? Does anyone know if they have a separate kid's menu for dinner or is it the same fare as adults?

I just now checked the official Disney site...it still says Goofy and others in their colonial garb yada yada yada for dinner.

Is dinner still family style?

The characters are definitely gone.I just called disney dining to be sure. But they are gone. The menu is still the same Thanksgiving style served family style.

As stated previously, the characters are definitely gone. This was a change as of January 5, 2009.

The meal is the same, as is the price.

It looks like some sites just haven't gotten around to updating their pages about this, which is unfortunate. Not everyone reads here at the Dis and I can imagine that there will be some disappointed diners.

Just got back and ate at Liberty Tree Tavern on Jan 27th. I thought the food was great, though I never ate there with the characters (I was one of the few that was happy that characters were removed). Salad, rolls, mashed potatoes, turkey, ham, roast beef, green beans, mac and cheese served family style. Dessert was apple crum cake a think, ala mode. Very good.

CM there did mention there were those who thought it was still a character meal, and he was happy when we told him we were happy it was no longer a character meal!
