Just wondering if anyone has enjoyed a LTT meal in the heat of the Florida summer ... and if so, did that sit ok? Lots of folks have given it good reviews, and the menu seems like it would appeal to both my picky dh and my kids. Is it like Stouffer's food or a step-up (I am hoping you'll all say it's a step up... I don't think LTT does itself any favors by saying it's sponsored by Stouffer's... just kinda gives the image of a frozen dinner!)

I noticed on the menu the dessert was Boston Cream Pie -- but that's not always the case, is it? Is that dessert at least usuallly offered (with its patriotic name, I would think it would be)? That is, without a doubt, the favorite dessert of my 3 men-folk (and dd likes it pretty well too!)

LASTLY -- where would you place a meal at LTT versus these competitors (all for dinner):

CP
WC
Ohana
The Castle
Chef M's

We will have 9 in our party (4 kids aged 4 to 9, plus an infant age 8 mos, and 4 adults). Your help is greatly appreciated!

THANKS!!

We ate at LTT for the first time last August and I don't think it is possible for it to be any hotter than when we were there!!! We enjoyed the meal and the surroundings. The food was okay. I've eaten there twice now. While it is not my favorite spot, I would go again. We have eaten only dinner there. I understand that lunch offerings are different than dinner. We always tend to eat a little less during the hot months.

As far as how LTT stacks up against the others....I love the Castle for a late lunch. THe food isn't light tho. Again, we eat lightly.
Chef Mickeys is a 'must do' on each trip. Can't decide whether we prefer dinner or breakfast tho. CP is good. Haven't eaten, yet, at WC or Ohana.

So, I guess I would say I prefer others over LTT, but I am in the minority here. I tend to prefer the buffets over the 'family-style' type meals. Garden Grill is the only 'family style' meal that I have really enjoyed. I prefer to pick and choose.

We had dinner there in the heat of August. Love love love this place. Its our favorite characture meal. The best interaction and service there is.

We never go to Disney in the middle of summer so I've never eaten there in the heat of summer. I will say that LTT is one of my favorite places to eat. It takes you away from the park for a while in that it isn't crazy busy like CP or Chef Mickey's. At the same time you have the characters (at dinner) and the interaction is nice. I think what makes it great is that it is divided up into little rooms.

I think the food is great and plentiful.

We love it there!

Here was how our experience at LTT went...

It was the first day of our first family WDW trip ever. It was June, it was hot and crowded, and it was lunchtime. We had been in MK since EE and had done some pretty commando touring. I had planned on us having counter service for lunch that day, but everyone was very hot, tired and cranky, so DH wasn't having any of that. We happened to be in Frontierland, so we started looking for the nearest place we could sit down and have a cool, relaxing lunch. We happened across LTT, and things instantly got better. We had a bit of a wait because we didn't have PS's, but it was well worth it. We all had a nice, relaxing lunch where we could cool off and enjoy a delicious meal. Then we headed back out into the park refreshed and ready to enjoy an absolutely wonderful rest of the day. Thanks to a great lunch at LTT, our first day at WDW went from impendind disaster to magical!

In our opinion, LTT and summer are the perfect combination!::yes::
