Can anyone tell me why so many people want LTT at the Halloween Party?? I've booked CRT that night and wonder if I'm missing something by not going to LTT. We went to LTT last time at Disney so I thought we'd skip it this time. What's so special about it during MNNSHP?

Most people want to be at LTT an hour/hour and a half before the party starts, so they can eat dinner and go straight to the party afterward. Not too many people eat during the party, because you don't want to miss the short ride lines, trick or treating, special events, etc. If you're eating in the hour or so before the party, you avoid be sent to Tomorrowland from 6-7 p.m. while they try to close down MK to the non party guests.

LTT is also a character meal and in addition to their colonial attire, Minnie and friends have Halloween masks on too, so it's a chance to get photos with them looking a little different.

Hope this helps,
Amy :)

I'm thinking it's because the characters wear halloween costumes maybe? I initially tried to get LTT for 9/30 but the time was running into the Halloween party so I waited till my 90 days out and booked CP for 4:05. I didn't really care because we all ready had LTT booked for an earlier day in our trip so I think I'd rather try something different anyhow. I think you'll be happy with CRT if you got an early time so you don't miss any of the party!

We booked (well actually Sue Ellen) LTT for 10/2 the night we are going to the Halloween Party. Last year, we went with CP for the Christmas Party. We will also be doing CP twice this year--once for breakfast and once for dinner so that left LTT as my only option.

At what time do they start wearing their costumes/masks? I figured early, yet I've been told by two CM when I made ressie that it's not until 7 when the party starts. Other than 7:50, the only time I could get for LTT was 4:25. Even if we take our time (which is difficult sometimes with a 3 yo) will we still have to go to Tomorrowland for a while?

Last year, we had a 5:45 PS for LTT and they were already in their Halloween attire.

we aren't going this year, but I know last year LTT was the only place that you could make PS's before the 90 day mark when you were buying your tickets for MNSSHP. We wanted CP so we had to wait until 90 days to make PS's. We made our PS's for 5:45 and it was the perfect time. We arrived at exactly 4:00 and had no problem getting in with just our MNSSHP tickets.

IMHO, its mostly just the excitement that you can book it so early so everyone gets on the bandwagon.

Yes, they do wear either a eye mask or a apron that says Boo on it but it's more of the early planner that can't resist booking something early.

I prefer CP actually but am eating at LTT this year because my sister wants to try it.

Enjoy your dinner at the Castle.

I booked it for the Characters. My favorite holiday is Halloween and I really want to get pics of my kids with them dressed in their costumes. Since DS really has no interest in getting autographs and waiting on line to see the characters this will be the only way I can get a pic or two.
Plus I think the LTT sets the mood for the night. You can look at it as kind of a potental Haunted House. It's got the stereotypical "look" of a house/restaurant that could be visited by revolutionary era ghosts.

BUT, I really doubt others do it for the same reasons we do LOL.

We've eaten at LTT before two halloween parties, and the characters have had their masks on and the wait staff have been in their scary make-up too. I'm pretty sure they're like this as soon as they open for dinner.

Here's a pic I took last October at LTT.

Looks good, 1000th happy haunt! Got your message and we will have a grand time at LTT on 10/7!

We like LTT because of the closeness to the haunted mansion. As soon as we eat, we go across the street and get our picture taken and then off to the mansion. Nobody is in the park yet. We also love the food!!! The salad is great with their dressing and the mashed potatoes and gravy is wonderful! The meat is so tender. I found the service to be very efficient and fast. I like looking out of the windows and seeing nobody walking around...its eerie...but fun. I love crystal palace also. We just trade back and forth.

We love the food also. It has also become sort of a tradition for us before the parties. Well we have never done the halloween party, but we always go there before the christmas parties.

My girls love it.

Has to be because you are able to book it prior to your 90 day window. We did that, but all they had was 6:50pm. So, yesterday, we made our AR for CP at 4:15. That will give us plenty of time to get done eating before the party. Also, we have Chef Mickeys for breakfast the next day, so will be nice to see Pooh and those guys, then Mickey and the crew the next day.
