Planning our trip for next Jan/Feb. I'm looking for the least crowded/least hot time of year as these are DH's 2 biggest dislikes about DW. Is the 1st week in Feb slightly more crowded than Jan and how does MLK day affect crowds?

Thanks!!

:D

Well, I can speak to January crowds! There are none! We went Jan 20-25 and the place was empty! I really must say, it was my first January trip, and I was simply amazed. I was at a conference, and I wasn't done until 3:00 each day. I was petrified of "spending" a day on my pass by going to a park so late--we always go at opening so as to avoid the crowds and have NO LINES. We bail as soon as it gets crowded. However, a friend of mine--who does WDW EVERY January--assured me that even a 3:30 park arrival would be no problem. And she was right!!!!! We arrived at MGM a bit after 3:00 and walked on Tower of Terror, Rock -N-Roller Coaster, did each several times in a row with no wait whatsoever. It was sooooo nice. I hope I get the chance to go in January again some time, but being an educator makes it difficult--we are slaves to the school calendar unless a nice conference comes along.:p

Jan and Feb are our favorite time to visit the parks. Crowds are very small and weather is usually quite nice. (Avoid the days immediatly following new years day, avoid the MLK weekend and from presidents day weekend on in Feb., the rest of Jan and Feb are great)
Be aware that they sometimes rehab rides and shows during these months. Also park hours are shorter than busier times of year.
Weather is real unpredictable during this time of year, sometimes very cold, sometimes quite warm, but usually 65 and sunny.
And best of all, lines and long waits are non-existant.

Have Fun:wave:

This year, we were there the first week of Feb. (Jan. 30 - Feb. 6 to be exact). There were no crowds. We even did MK on a Sat. It was crowded, but not bad. Matter of fact Peter Pans flight (at MK) was the only time in our whole trip, that we used fast pass. We got a FP because Peter Pan had a 20 min. wait and we weren't used to waiting in line. Our FP was for a hour later and we did Space Mt., the raceway (I forget the name), snow white and got Ice cream and still were back at Peter Pan before our Fast pass time. The rest of the parks were empty, no waiting for any shows, TOT, RNR, nothing. The only draw back is that Spectromagic is only on Sat. night.

Our weather was great. The evening we were at MK, it was pretty chilly, we got hot chocolate while waiting for spectromagic. That day we had shorts and sweatshirts on. That was the coldest it was. DS went swimming every evening. After going in Feb. we decided to make all of our trips in the winter.
