Lowe's Credit Card

Anyone here have a Lowe's credit card? Just wanted to verify the 5% off they offer applies to everything. DH and I are planning to purchase cabinets and fencing for our new house, and probably a lawnmower and grill in the spring. We pay in full every month so I'm not worried about the insanely high interest rate after 6 months, but just want to get that 5% off. Any issues out there? Does 5% off include installation?

I have a Lowe's credit card. I got it last year when I was buying kitchen cabinets and new appliances. Yes, 5% off. I just used it the other day when buying some outdoor Christmas decorations and the 5% came off.

I have the card and the 5% has worked on everything we have bought. If there is another promotion going on such as 0% interest for 18 mths or whatever you have to make a choice between the two - which is not an issue if you are going to pay off monthly.
However, I'm not 100% sure that it includes installation. That I would double check on.

Thank you both! Even if it doesn't include installation, it would still be a good deal considering a lawnmower will be a pretty hefty purchase since we need a riding one.

I think it was Labor Day weekend, they were actually running a special that was 10% off if you used your lowes card.

We use ours all the time. The 5% comes off automatically unless you request a different promotion such as the 0% interest.

That only good if you don't have to pay intress at 20% . If you pay it off, you are better to go with a low intress CC

nope never had an issue, used it for lots of big things and always get the discount. we use it pretty much any time we shop at lowes even online and pick up in store. we have a lowes pretty close to where we run a lot of our errands so we just pop in and make our payments there so heck we don't even need a stamp to pay the bill. but we pay off every month or when ever it is we use it, I like to garden so we pop in there pretty regularly to check out the vegetable plants etc

Thanks! That's a good point about gardening. We garden a lot and will be doing landscaping on our new house in the spring, so it will be nice to have for that.

If you get an installation, say a new roof, the 5% comes off of the whole proposal which includes labor. This is only for projects associated with exterior projects such as Windows, roofing, siding, decks, fences, HVAC, etc. Otherwise, you only save 5% on the product only. Also there are several holiday promotions where you can get 10% or 18 mos. no interest financing. You can stack the sales or financing on top of any manufacture sales as well!!!

I was told on installation wouldn't get it but re-did the bathroom and got 5% off all of it. Also if you paid for the supplies at the time you paid for the installation there was no tax Lowes also price compares products. I found the items I wanted for my bathroom at a fraction of the cost and Lowes matched it.

I honestly don't know because we have one and always use it. (We have done a lot of home renovation ourselves, so we have both a Lowe's and HD card to keep those expenses in one place...)
