Lowe's Card Question

I'm a little confused about the Lowe's membership....I thought I read a post here once that said that each member of your party had to have a Lowe's membership (or whatever it is) in order to receive the perks. Does that mean each person in my family, or at least DH and myself, will have to sign up?

The person booking the room should have the Loews membership. Only that one person needs it. You may confused with the fact that every member of your party needs an on site room key for FOTL.

Thanks for clearing that up. I think I was confused about one group staying but booking two rooms. That's what we will be doing. I think the writer of the post was saying that in order to get up-grades, at least one person in each room had to be a member. BTW, does it cost anything to register?

Registration is free. Just go to the Loews Hotels website.

Okay....just one more question....sorry....the upgrades that the website talks about, is that a better room for the same price as a standard room....how does that work?

OOPS, another one, do you have to ask for the extras, or just give the person at the front desk your card (if there is a card) and he/she will take care of the rest?

The upgrades are not always available. I have been given a pool view room for the price of a garden view without having to ask for it. You may have to remind the front desk about getting your special welcome gift and newspaper.

FYI The only discounted rate that gets you credit towards more Loews perks is the AAA rate. Goverment, Group rates, AP rates, etc reservations dont count towards Loews First.

They seem to be inconsistent with that also. I stayed this past July with the FAN club discount, and my stay earned me Gold status with Loews.

Can you use those together? We don't have AAA either. I never think about this stuff because we don't travel very often.

I have always had an AAA card... drove beaters for years... needed jumped, flat tires fixed, towed. Now I have my AAA for the discounts. You would be surprised how many places in your area offers AAA discounts... resturants and such. Plus most hotels off AAA rates... just put AAA in the promo box.Some car rental places...


EDITED TO ADD.... there is a thread at the top of this fourm that goes over all the AAA savings. I highly reccomend checking it out.
