Lower DVC points for Disney Cruises

We were thinking about adding on with an SSR contract under the new terms that give a one time 100 points. I asked if I could bank them to apply to a cruise we are contemplating new year. My guide said "Yes", but also mentioned that the number of points for a cruise will go DOWN next year. That was great news!

I forget - when do the point charts next come out?

Not really. He said the higher point counts reflects limited availability as one of the ships was deployed to the west coast. The would go down next year. We chatted about membership in the new cruise ship (designed but not under construction yet) similar to DVC membership in a resort. He said the cost would be prohibitive.

I would think he is passing on his thoughts as opposed to any facts so don't bank on it.

We have used points on three of our five Disney cruises and they have gone up each year for the past four years.
