Lower Credits Everywhere!

All I can say is this greatly upsets me. I do not understand why they would do this if the prices do not end up going down. There's a point in wanting to have people play more, but I played 45 games of pirates last night so I could finish getting all my shamrock pins and quite franky I could go a long time without playing it now, and it's my favorite game. First they take away the ice, and now they reduce the credits. This weekend was especially expensive, who knew so much would come out. I can see it now... Magic Carpet Magic - 50,000 credits.... ack

Hmm getting used the the lower of credits will be harder, especially if they keep the raised prices of things.

most of the credits are higher than they were before Everest month:

Before Everest:
Music was 10 credits
Pirates was 15
Fireworks was only 40
And Mickeys was only 100 every 10

Now:
Music is 25
Pirate is 100
Fireworks is alot more (dont have the figures)
Mickeys is 375 every 10

I dont see an issue here

Even before this sudden drop some people didn't even have 400 credits. It's going to take double the work now to get 1,000 credits and I know for a fact people who do the taken thing and the "cute or boot" or "mummy stuff" barely try to get the credits so they will really not be able to buy stuff that will come out. Causing many more "give me free" or "I will trade you my gray crate for bat".

I SO hear you on that. I had a person this morning try to trade with me...he wanted to give me the NPC Yeti pin for my hero costume AND Grand Floridian pin! I only see it getting worse....

Of course they'd do this after a weekend when we all spend half our bank accounts lol and haven't really recovered from Everest's ride comp/bat magic frenzy...

It's back to the Mansion! But seriously this makes me sad --- most people don't have the time to play this game for hours. I enjoy spending time just chatting with my friends on vmk --- especially since they don't encourage us meeting outside of the game (not that we don't do it lol,) but this just forces us to spend less time chatting in game, so we can rack up more credits. Yet so much of the game is designed as public spaces to hang around and talk in. Ok, yes, I know it's really just a giant marketing scheme designed to lure you to the parks but along those lines... I think a huge part of VMK's appeal is find new friends who share your passion for Disney and maybe even go together with to the parks

Has anyone played fireworks? I am wondering what the credit prize is for first place, and what they are giving 2nd - 5th.

You do not get fireworks magic if you get 1st place.

Wow! All these lower credits really stink! I guess the VMK Staff just wants to hook us on to VMK longer because people are beginning to quit..

Actually...you get 1,300 credits for coming in second now. Unless the fireworks credit rules changed specifically for me


I suppose we can't compain TOO much about the lowering of credits considering they are still more than what they started at. I guess 100 credits at level three pirates is still better than 15! LOL. However, it will get very annoying fast if they keep rising the prices like that and lowering the credit amount won in a game at the same time. lol

You don't get fireworks magic every time. I'm guessing maybe every 20 or so second place 240,000 wins (although I'm not sure if it's 20 wins--could be more or less).

I've had such a BLAH feeling toward/about VMK ever since I saw this thread (2 days ago). I just don't have that excited Go-Get-Em feeling for it that I used to have each and every single night, and I don't mean just from when the credits were raised...I'm talking since beta.

Never have I played less than I have in the last two nights.

The raised credits were/are a nice breath of fresh air, not having to work so hard and spend so much time by Nedding over and over and over and over (it was Pirates instead, but with a MUCH better payoff!..And an ice reward! )

I dunno, after having such a fresh breath, and knowing how high the prices for new items are/will be...I feel like I'm gasping here.

Sadly, I'm losing interest in the game.

I totally agree with you, although I haven't been on VMK since beta. The raised credits were a nice surprise and actually renewed my interest in the game. Although fireworks was getting kind of tiring. lol. There must have been a good reason for lowering the credits, but it was disappointing to see that nice raise taken away after having it for so long. Oh well, it's stil free, right?
