I just purchased a Lowepro Passport Sling to take and use as my park/camera bag. It's kind of on the large side and I was wondering if it would fit into the pockets on the rides at Disney.

If anyone has used this bag in the parks, could you please tell me how it worked out for you. Thanks.

I used the passport sling througout my 15-day vacation in december. Took it to the parks every single day. Most of the time, I opened the zipper on the side so it was big enough to hold my dslr+ extra lens as well as a fleece jacket and tons of stuff a girl needs throughout the day :lmao:. I also always carried a water bottle on the outside pocket. So the bag was stuffed to the max...and it did fit in every single ride.
Sometimes the pockets on the ride vehicles were too small (Dinosaur and Mission Space), then I held it between my legs which wasn't a problem at all.

I took the passport sling and a smaller bag since I never thought I would carry my DSLR with me every day but I ended up loving the bag and it's size so much, I never used my small bag. Don't worry about carrying it on the rides...I never had a problem on any of them (not even on Rock'n Roller Coaster where the space in front of your legs is pretty small).
If it doesn't fit in the pockets, put one of your feet through the bag strap, put the bag between your feet and you're all set even for the wildest rides.

I know I sound like a salesperson. I promise I don't work for this company but... Last year on the advice of Someone on the cruise board I purchased a BlackRapid strap. This thing is amazing. Made carrying that DSLR do easy. It keeps it out of your way on your side but easily accessible. Love it for places like Disney.

DH has a LowePro something - it looks like a backpack but it opens on the side so he can get his camera and lenses out easily. Anyway he's never had trouble with it on rides.

I used a much larger bag (Lowepro 200 AW Photo Sport). It didn't fit into the nets, but they didn't care as long as it fit in the floor (which it did). Never moved around or anything.

You'll be fine even if it doesn't fit.

I have the Lowepro 102A sling and the only ride it didn't fit was RnRc. I just put the strap around my leg and tried to keep my feet together holding it. Most other rides it fit into.

I have used my Passport Sling bag on 4 Disney trips and on other trips as well. It is my favorite. I can safely take my dslr, extra lens, and various necessities easily. Like a pp said it works on all the rides, although a few you hold between your feet. It is comfortable to carry.

Plus a little Duffy fit easily on top of everything sitting in the tall part of the strap on the way home last October :)

Enjoy your new bag!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I bought a Black rapid strap for my DH to carry while I carry the Lowepro bag. We can switch back and forth through out the day. Since we are a family of four, I need to carry at least one bag for all of our stuff. I love this bag, so I'm glad to hear that it works for Disney.
