Low season - parade/Fantasmic/fireworks questions

I'm getting ahead of myself a bit here, we will not be in DL until 8th January! but I have some questions about evening activities in the low season:

I'm assuming the fireworks, Fantasmic and WOC will only be on Fri, Sat and Sun nights, is this correct?

I know exact times won't be out until closer to the dates, but approx. what times can I expect the fireworks and Fantasmic to be on?

Is the parade only on once a day in the low season - at night? approx. what time? and is it on every night?

I think I read somewhere that if we have the Fantasmic dessert package seats then we can watch the fireworks from there after Fantasmic, is this right?

Thanks!

Fireworks and Fantasmic? Yup, weekends only. I think the times are pretty consistent all year. WOC? Who knows!?!

I've never been in Jan., but in September the parade in DL ran once daily mid-week (at about 7:00pm). The DCA parade only ran a couple of times during the week that I was there.

Your ideas match up with what we know right now.

Fantasmic! currently generally runs weekends in the off-season, but IF World of Color draws the crowds away, then they might not even run Fantasmic! in the off-season. That said, currently Fantasmic! still seems to be drawing large crowds, and your January 8 weekend is on the very tail end of high season (I THINK last year they had some pretty big crowds the first week of January because kids were off school/etc.). So it's most likely that Fantasmic! will still be running on weekends, IMO. But there's no way to KNOW.

Currently the schedule is:

9:00 - World of Color
9:05 - Fantasmic!
9:30 - Fireworks
10:15 - World of Color
10:30 - Fantasmic!
11:30 - World of Color (maybe)

This doesn't generally change for winter, as far as I know, except if you're low season it's very doubtful there will be a third World of Color showing.

If you get the Fantasmic! dessert seats for the first showing only, you can view fireworks from there. The "ideal" spot is being in front of the castle, but it's not an awful view.

Doesn't Fantasmic stop running completely between New Year's Eve and June (possibly May)? I went in March 09 and it was not running at all - I asked a CM and they said it started in June I believe. This year I asked on the phone when Fantasmic ran and they said it ran June - New Years Eve.
Or am I totally wrong and the CM's were just talking about it running nightly?
I don't think anyone can really even guess when WoC will be showing especially since it just started. It may be going everyday for a while into the off-season.

I was there for Memorial Day weekend this year. Fantasmic restarted that Friday night. It had been shut down for some time due to the refurbishing of the Rivers of America, I think since like late in 2009. As far as I know, it usually runs all year, but only weekends during low season.

Oh ok. I thought after posting my response to this thread that that may have been the case.

I do think that historically, sometimes Fantasmic! went dark from January through Spring Break, but I don't think that's always been the case. As mentioned, this year it went dark from that time because the Rivers of America were drained. It's just not half as cool to see monkeys and princesses trudge through a dirt pit instead of floating around...and it's probably dangerous for the dragon to set it on fire. :)

Thanks for the answers - I think I need to learn some patience and wait till the calendars are out, easier said than done for me!
