Low light lens upgrade

I have a question. I heard a mention of this on a full frame camera. I thought that couldn't be done cause the sensor would get hit like other lens that are made only for crop bodies. Someone earlier said there would just be vignetting to start at 28 mm?

It depends on how the lens is made and the camera brand if the mirror will hit the lens or not on a full frame. But at the least you'll have vignetting on full frame.
