On our first full day of travel my DD will be turning 3! I know we can get cake in the room (any good cookies beyond gideons?) but looking for some thing else, maybe making an ADR? Any thoughts on a good spot for a birthday dinner near MK? That's where we have park reservations for the day. Or near CBR since that's where we are staying?
The kids will be 9, 6 and 3. DD is not princess obsessed. All the kids (and DH) are picky eaters.

Sorry I can't help. My kids were never picky so anything went.

If it's a travel day, I would try to make it as convenient as possible. If you will be in MK, I would consider Crystal Palace. There aren't any characters currently (I don't know when you are traveling), but it's casual and the food is fairly simple fare. You may also want to look at the menu at Liberty Tree Tavern to see if it appeals to you. If you would rather eat dinner near the resort, consider Topolino's at Riviera which is walkable or a short Skyliner ride from CBR.

Since your kids are picky eaters, maybe Cosmic Ray’s? The food is typical CS but my littles like the Sonny Eclipse show. Or get food from a cart and find a bench with a view to eat it… maybe you and your DH could separate and one of you could surprise DD by decorating the bench with a balloon and bubble wand while the other is buying the food! I would probably not want to get an ADR for a TS restaurant because I always get stressed about missing our reservation if our travel is delayed (it’s happened to me more than once!)
